Klaus Post

Sr Software Engineer @ MinIO Inc

I have been writing open source software for more than 25 years. Some of the time as a hobby and about 10 years professionally using Go. My focus has always been on speed and even if hardware gets faster data sizes have just been getting larger.
My last few years I have been working at MinIO on a fast, scalable and reliable Object Store. My speciality is file compression and data serialilaztion, but I try to get my fingers in whenever something is performance critical.

As a part of our commitment to sustainability, we’re planting “Speaker’s trees” on behalf of our speakers. These trees represent our effort to offset the carbon emissions from their travel. By planting trees, we’re helping to reduce our carbon footprint and combat the effects of climate change. Join us in this symbolic act and help make our conference eco-friendly.
